Prof. Dr. Thomas Klinger
Seit April 2001 ist Professor Thomas Klinger Wissenschaftliches Mitglied des Max-Planck-Instituts für Plasmaphysik. 2002 wurde er auf einen Lehrstuhl für Experimentelle Plasmaphysik an der Universität Greifswald berufen.

Prof. Klingers Forschungsthema ist die experimentelle nichtlineare Plasmadynamik. Schwerpunktmäßig sind dies zurzeit druckgetriebene Instablitiäten wie Driftwellen, kinetische Alfvén-Wellen, Wellen-Teilchen-Interaktionen, Plasmaturbulenz und Rekonnektion.
