ECE Diagnostic: Electron Cyclotron Emission

On ASDEX Upgrade, a state-of-the-art Electron Cyclotron Emission (ECE) diagnostic system provides high-resolution measurements of electron temperature profiles across several radial positions simultaneously.

This diagnostic plays a crucial role in studying plasma stability, energy transport, and confinement properties. It also allows for detailed investigations of MHD modes and their role in transport barriers, essential for understanding performance improvements in magnetic confinement devices.

If you're interested in plasma physics and are excited about the challenge of operating and developing advanced diagnostic systems, including sophisticated control software, we encourage you to reach out to us.
